French Roulette: The Rules of the Game

Like any other game of chance, French Roulette has its own specific rules. The game involves using a playing wheel and sectors that have cells with numbers. On a special table there is a marking, duplicating these numbers. The main distinguishing feature of French roulette from the European version is the La Partage rule. This rule makes the game more profitable for the players.

This variation originated in France, and was the first variant to be used in modern casinos.

French roulette: A description of the gameplay

At the beginning of each round the dealer throws the ball on the playing wheel, and the gamer has to make a bet, thus guessing on which cell or group of numbers the ball will stop.

The client can get the winnings from the bet by using a system of odds. The table is marked up so that there are fields for outside bets. Traditionally, they are on either side of the 37 number slots.

The basic language in the classic version of roulette is French, but modern gamblers don’t follow this rule. On the spinning wheel all sectors are in red and black, and on the French roulette table the sectors are in white.

How to play French Roulette

The game starts when the croupier triggers the ball at the start of the round. Gamers place their bets on the playing field. The dealer keeps track of how the chips are placed and removes tokens that are not placed correctly. As soon as the ball starts to slow down, no bets can be placed. All bets that have not been played are removed and the payout is made and the round is considered over.
