When we say the word “roulette”, the first association that comes to mind is a casino. And this is true, practically, all over the world. For the sum of all sectors (from 0 to 36) is equal to the devilish number “666”.
From the “golden age” to the present day
Let’s leave these legends aside and get back to reality. The first peak of roulette’s popularity came at the beginning of the 18th century, when it rapidly conquered European casinos. A lot of this was written at that time by representatives of the “Golden Era” of Russian literature.
A little later, the game was brought to America, where it soon acquired a national sector – “double zero” (00), on which an eagle was first drawn. Further expansion around the world proceeded calmly, without any significant innovations, until the time of the Internet came.
